Head of Developer Relations - contract remote full time paid position

Streamr is building the open-source infrastructure that will power the world’s data economy. We believe that creating a decentralized Network and world leading software to allow anyone to trade and transport information will create benefits for the entire world to enjoy. People will regain control of the data they produce. Companies will be able to better build and market their products in the Internet of Things (IoT). And society as a whole will be better off when the value in the data is no longer concentrated in the hands of a few giant companies.

We can not realise our vision without a vibrant community of developers building on top of our stack. This is why we are looking for a world class Head of Developer Relations to join Streamr’s Growth team. This will be your chance to take an incredibly powerful idea, that of data ownership free of centralized control, and make it a reality for hundreds of millions of people.

Data Unions

Our Data Union framework enables prospective app builders to aggregate and monetize user generated data at scale. It’s an exciting, new piece of open source software which promises scores of vibrant, social good and money generating use cases. We already have a number of projects building on top of our stack. Your job will be to help foster more. 

The right applicant will have a technical background and also be able to present on a stage at conferences. Working with the rest of the growth team, you will enjoy creating compelling use case narratives, spotting good ideas and will love nothing more than making digital ideas come to fruition. 

You must have: 

• Experience in working with developer communities in obtaining adoption/user growth for software/technical products
• Experience in technical on-boarding or product integration support 
• Good presentation skills for technical products (events/webinars/tutorials )
• Excellent writing skills in English for technical content 
• Good understanding of at least one modern programming language e.g. JavaScript , Go, Python etc.
• Familiarity with both mainstream social media platforms and specialised developer channels and workflow tools such as Jira and Github.

Preferable 

• Experience with managing hackathons and developers related events
• Marketing skills and data driven analytics experience 
• Understanding of the value of design in digital product development
• A passion for blockchain, crypto and decentralisation
• Knowledge of relevant data infrastructure platforms such as AWS Kinesis and Apache Kafka

Remuneration: 

Salary is paid every month in fiat. Bonuses can be awarded in our cryptographic token $DATA. Negotiable full-time contractual rate of ~$80k USD per annum.

Start date: July/August.
