FWB Application Tips
To apply, you'll need to share some information about yourself and what you'd bring to the FWB community.
What to Know:
- Once you apply, expect to hear from us within three weeks. New applications are reviewed on a rolling basis by a committee of current FWB members. If you haven't heard from us in 6 weeks, your application has been waitlisted. We insist on a cool down period between applications, and welcome you to reapply in 6 months.
- Join the FWB Discord server immediately after applying and open your DMs beyond “friends only.” We'll use this to get in touch once we've reviewed your application. (After you hear from us, we recommend closing your DMs.)
Keep in mind:
- FWB encourages applications from under-represented communities and prioritizes artists, musicians, creative thinkers and doers, and those already in the Web3 (or Web3-adjacent) ecosystem. If this is you, make it clear.
- While sharing your professional history is an important part of the application, it's not the only thing we care about. Similarly, we're more interested in learning about your personal interests and passions than we are in reading your full crypto CV.
- As you answer each question, pretend you're writing to a friend instead of writing a long-winded dissertation. Three to five sentences per question should be plenty of information for us, but if for some reason we need to know more, we may ask you to resubmit your application with more elaboration.
- If you have friends in FWB, let us know and let them know you’re applying. A referral goes a long way, and you’ll be given a chance on your application to include their name and Discord ID.
- While including links to your personal website and Twitter and Instagram handles is not required, it is recommended, as these can help us get a better sense of who you are and what you're into.
- Anonymous and pseudonymous applications have a much higher rejection rate. Where possible, please include your real information.
