There is no evidence that COVID-19 vaccines are related to reported incidents of athletes collapsing, regulators and fact-checkers say
Reuters, The Associated Press and Snopes independently verified various video clips in which athletes fainted, the fact-checking organizations report. They all found that some of the videos involved people who had been previously diagnosed with COVID-19. In many of the cases, the athlete in question collapsed due to causes such as dehydration, overheating and undiagnosed heart conditions, Reuters, Snopes and The Associated Press say. Some of the videos also featured athletes who had not received the COVID-19 vaccines.
