Does Promising Young Woman get revenge fantasy right?

The Oscar nominated picture Promising Young Woman - a rape-revenge drama starring Carey Mulligan - has brought considerable success to its British writer and director Emerald Fennell.

The film marks Fennell’s feature film debut and she is only one of seven women ever to secure a best director nomination in the history of the Academy Awards.

But her film - as Talking Movies’ Noah Gittell reports - has provoked a lot of debate.
