Our growing membership of more than 1,400 members and alumni of 120 nationalities includes civic and business innovators, entrepreneurs, technology pioneers, educators, activists, artists, journalists, and more.
Aligned with the World Economic Forum’s mission, we seek to drive public-private co-operation in the global public interest. We are united by the belief that today’s pressing problems present an opportunity to build a better future across sectors and boundaries.
Meet our members

Lauren Tilstra
Lauren Tilstra is a seasoned leadership communications advisor who’s spent her career launching and counseling Fortune 50 c-suite executives across technology and media. She previously served as Chief of Staff and Executive Director of Strategic Communications to the Chairman and CEO of Verizon. She’s was the first in the firm’s 22-year history to serve in both roles simultaneously.
Tilstra is a passionate advocate for digital inclusion and in 2020 she joined Verizon’s Chairman and CEO, Hans Vestberg and Chief Strategy Officer, Rima Qureshi in forming the EDISON Alliance with Professor Klaus Schwab and the World Economic Forum. In the role, she lead communications for the Alliance and is working daily to connect 1B lives to the promise of the digital world. She also serves on the Board of grassroots organization, Friends for Global Change and Is a founding member of the National Executive Communication Council. Tilstra is a PRWeek 40 under 40 and was named Penn State University’s College of Communications Outstanding Alumni of 2022.

Camiel Irving
Camiel Irving is Vice President of Operations at Uber, where she has been instrumental in the company's journey toward profitability since joining in 2018. Prior to Uber, she was a Brand leader at Procter and Gamble, driving growth for iconic brands like Tampax, Charmin, and Puffs. She later founded Pepper and Wits (now Kindra), a self-care brand for women experiencing perimenopause, within P&G Ventures, the company's startup incubator.

Aida Murad
Aida Murad is an Economist turned Artist, recognized globally for her innovative approach to using art as a tool for social impact. After a health trauma left her semi-paralyzed for 4.5 years, she turned to art, using her fingers and eyes closed to create powerful fine art. Aida is the Author of Life is a Miracle, that aims to remind people about the beauty of life through art. She led workshops for over 10,000 people worldwide, and had art collaborations with notable figures including Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, John Densmore of The Doors, and organizations such as X Moonshot Factory, MIT, and the World Bank. Her work, which has been showcased in 37 exhibitions and featured in TED and the UN, highlights art's role in the spectrum of healing to innovation. Aida is the Inaugural Artist in Residence at Georgetown University's Lombardi Cancer Center and the first Artivist Fellow for Seeds of Peace. Before transitioning into the arts, Aida managed over $300 million in funds for economic development and supported social start-ups.

Ahmed Al Shamsi
Ahmed Al Shamsi is Chief Executive Officer of the Emirates Foundation, an organization championing volunteerism and corporate citizenship, while also serving as the Director of National Experts Program at the Court of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. Previously, he was the Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Youth Council from 2017 to early 2019 and the first United Arab Emirates United Nations Youth Ambassador.

Wafa Al Obaidat
Wafa Alobaidat is the Founder and CEO of PLAYBOOK - A fast-growing digital membership networking platform focused on connecting and supporting women and executive leaders in MENA. With an award-winning leadership team that is fully female-founded, our network has been making waves regionally and internationally. Wafa is an award-winning serial entrepreneur, TEDx speaker, and public speaker represented by The Middle East leading speaker’s bureau, MENA Speakers. Her expertise lies at the nexus of growth and scaling up, with underlying themes of empowering women and youth, entrepreneurship in the Middle East, and starting and scaling companies. She was named one of the top 50 most influential women leaders in business by Business in the Gulf. She is a graduate of the University of the Arts London.

Matthew Caruana Galizia
Advances the causes of transparency, anti-corruption, freedom of speech and access to information. Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist whose work on the Panama Papers uncovered the hidden infrastructure and global scale of offshore tax havens.

Laure Forgeron
Laure is a Managing Director at Swiss Re and leader of the single risk business in EMEA. Leading a team of nearly 100 colleagues and managing premium income of USD1bn, she is the youngest Managing Director of this leading Global Risk carrier. Together with her team, she is fully engaged to deliver on Swiss Re's purpose to make the world more resilient. Beyond work, Laure is committed to empowering the disadvantaged. She is involved in initiatives to promote diversity, including being a champion for women in STEM, supporting entrepreneurship in Africa and Chair of philanthropy committee of the Swiss Re Foundation in Switzerland. She is the happy mother of three young children and lives in Zurich, Switzerland.

Francesca Chia
Francesca Chia is the Co-Founder and CEO of GoGet, an on demand workforce technology platform that connects businesses to trust and reliable part timers, called ‘GoGetters’. Francesca is pushing boundaries in the technology industry and the traditional labour market of Malaysia. She brings with her insights on the future of work, how businesses will adjust models to suit new labour requirements and how empowerment is possible through technology innovation. Francesca graduated with a BA in Economics from Northwestern University and was inspired by social enterprises because they redefined traditional ways of doing business and running a non-profit. Prior to launching GoGet, Francesca was a Management Consultant in The Boston Consulting Group for 4 years. GoGet was also invited as a one of the selected ASEAN start up to speak in the World Economic Forum, Hanoi 2018 to discuss the Future of Work. Francesca is also an Alibaba eFounders Fellow from the program jointly created between Alibaba and UNCTAD. Most recently, Francesca was invited to speak at a summit in conjunction with United Nations General Assembly 2019 about the platform and how it is specifically addressing the Sustainable Development Goal #8: To promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive.

Angelle Siyang-Le
Angelle Siyang-Le is the Director of Art Basel Hong Kong, where she leads the direction and future development of the flagship Asian event. She joined Art Basel in 2012, initially overseeing business development in Greater China, as well as gallery relations and show strategy for Art Basel in Hong Kong. In 2020, she spearheaded the first Spotlight event during the pandemic, successfully re-establishing an in-person platform for the art community. Prior to Art Basel, Angelle worked with The Farook Collection in the UAE and managed Traffic, a non-profit art space, alongside Satellite, an artist studio. She is also a curator, writer, and co-founder of The Mobile Art Gallery, a project bringing contemporary art to a broader audience.
