Impartial Narrative✨

Impartial Narrative✨
At first I was not sure whether I will like it or not because all I knew about naxalism was from media but this book provided me a great insight and journey where the reader will realise that he/she has landed on a place where death is everyday event not natural but which is written on the bullets. One of the best books I have ever read. What's special about this book is that every character is his/her own narrator. What remains constant throughout the book is the pain of the villagers who die from the bullets of both sides even though they have no role in it. Sometimes I felt like crying by reading about the pain which those innocent Adivasis face. Overall an amazing book with great information.🤍🤍

5.0 out of 5 stars A Masterpiece indeed!
Reviewed in India on 22 July 2020
To do one’s job is one thing and to fall in love with it is another. Writer’s love for Bastar & its people- also for his job as a journalist -where he doesn’t settle for anything less than perfect- are so visible with every single page!
Every word ...every sentence of this book speaks volumes about hardwork and perseverance put in by him to ensure that nothing in this book is less than extraordinary.
The anecdotal references from probably world’s best literature not only reveal the bibliophile in him -they also tremendously motivate one to read. The sensitivity & thoughtfulness that writer has displayed while describing every story are incredible & inspirational.
Though I am no cognoscente- in my humble opinion- This is undoubtedly one of the best works I have read so far -no wonder this book was ranked first in “movers &shakers” category!
Sheer poetry in form of prose - this book actually makes one think!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Mesmerizing book
Reviewed in India on 5 June 2021
Currently , read and mesmerized by this wonderful book, The Death Script by Ashutosh Bhardwaj.
it has come from real life experiences of Journalist writer , who lived in villages and forests of Bastar, Bijapur for years and tried to understand the real crisis Adivasis going through.
He gave voices to the marginalised Adivasis whom Govt failed to give justice.
He explains the nature and vichardhara of maoist insurgency in amazing way and also comments upon why and how govt and us too, fail to understand Adivasis.
Beneath the hard shell of journalist,
lies a compassionate human and a wonderful writer who wins heart by his passion and love for Bastar.
Do read this book.
