The following statements represent the Core Beliefs and Positions of We Believe We Vote. Please respond to
the Core Beliefs statements by checking the box that corresponds to your level of agreement/disagreement,
according to your worldview.
Issue Application: Following the Position Statements, relevant issues are posed with a statement that indicates a
possible response. As a potential elected official, please indicate your level of agreement/disagreement with the
response. Space is available at the end of the survey to explain any of your responses.

3. The Constitution (Limited Government)
Our Constitution is the supreme law of the land. It defines and limits the authority of government. The
original intent of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights is to uphold the unalienable rights of American
citizens.

God created man in His image. The duty of civil government is the protection of innocent human life from
conception until natural death.

Issue Application: Washington State’s “Reproductive Privacy Rights” law allows school employees to
assist students in obtaining birth control and abortions without parental consent. Response: School
districts should not permit their employees to assist students in obtaining birth control and abortions

parents oppose Critical Race Theory, The 1619 Project, and other similar types of programs, because they
are historically inaccurate, divisive and they actually promote racism.
Response: School boards should not allow these programs to be implemented in schools.

B. Issue Application: Parents who send their children to private schools or homeschool still pay taxes for
public education. This is burdensome and unfair.
Response: A voucher system for education should be available to all families. These taxpayer-funded
vouchers should “travel with the student,” and be used at parents’ discretion for the educational model they
choose, including charter schools, private schools, and homeschooling.

9. States’ Rights
The Tenth Amendment of the Constitution reserves “to the states...or to the people” all powers not
expressly delegated to the federal government. Therefore, state and local governments comprise the vast
majority of governmental functions.

Issue Application: Local government (city and county) has not done enough to push back against the ever
increasing encroachment of state and federal regulations on our communities (e.g., covid response.)
Response: School boards should be more responsive to the needs of local constituents than in obeying
draconian state and federal regulations.

10. American Sovereignty
Our national sovereignty is vital to preserve our nation and allow it to advance its mission. Federal and state
borders help define where resources and responsibilities are to applied. Judeo-Christian values found in the
United States Constitution and Declaration of Independence provide guidance for our laws and liberties. The
abundant blessings that God has bestowed on the U.S. underscores its responsibility to be a good steward
to its citizens and to the world.

Issue Application: Cultural Competency advocates claim that these programs promote appreciation for a
diversity of cultures. In reality, these programs attempt to diminish or dismiss the importance of America’s
history and its foundations.
Response: Cultural Competency programs should be eliminated from schools.

11. The Environment
God’s creation should be properly protected and stewarded. The environment is provided for our use to
produce food and provide resources for abundant life. We have a duty to protect the environment for its
beauty, provisions, and sustainability.

Issue Application: The theory of evolution and some aspects of climate change are taught as “settled
science” in public school curricula, when in reality they are controversial.
Response: Public schools should “teach the controversy” regarding the origins of life. Additionally, students
should be exposed to different theories of climate change while focusing on universally agreed upon
stewardship measures, such as not littering, conserving resources, etc.
